Hindu Ramayana Chess Set, early 19th century

Stunning Hindu Ramayana Chess Set, Good vs. Evil, Demon and Warrior. Intricately carved with amazing worksmanship in India by a master craftsman in the early 1900s. The King of the evil (green) side is represented by Ravana, the ten-headed demon king who opposed the hero, Rama (red), in the ancient Hindu epic: The Ramayana. The pawns of the good side are represented by Hanuman, the monkey god.
