A Study Group of 6 Wooden Pieces, 2 Rooks (91mm) and 4 Knights (69 mm), from a German or Austrian Selenus playing set, c. 1840-80.
The rooks with pierced domes containing a rolling ball (one missing), the knights with delicately handpainted faces. Condition: One dome broken with loss of ball, losses to some galleries, else good. Ex: Harbeson collection.
