Chess set by Charles Owen Perry

Chess set by Charles Owen Perry (American, 1929-2011). One side executed in pinewood the opposing side in walnut-stained pine wood. Puzzle design-construct two cubes, each composed of 16 pieces. Two large boards included as part of this artwork. Cube size approx. 4″ x 4″ x 4″. Housed in a custom Lucite display box. Provenance: De-accessioned from the Art, Design & Architecture Museum at UCSB – University of California, Santa Barbara. Was donated to and recorded by the Museum in 1986. 

Sold for US$ 1’300.
